<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Blackberry Storm for Verizon </strong></p>
<p>Some really exciting news in the cell phone world coming out now, including updates on some phones that are really revolutionizing not only their brands but what we expect from a cell phone. News about the Samsung Omnia, Blackberry Thunder/Storm, Blackberry Pearl Flip, and the most anticipated- HTC Dream running Google&#8217;s Android is all here.Take a look.</p>
<p><span id="more-888"></span></p>
<p><strong>Blackberry Thunder/Storm</strong></p>
<p>This is arguably the biggest news. This new phone (now called the Blackberry Storm for Verizon) is <strong>Blackberry&#8217;s first-ever touchscreen phone</strong>! It just got official from Verizon and Blackberry today, but it looks to offer a lot of nice features:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Verizon 3G</strong></li>
<li><strong>New &#8220;click&#8221; interface and keyboard</strong></li>
<li><strong>All-touchscreen phone with a &#8220;high resolution&#8221; screen</strong></li>
<li><strong>3.2 megapixel camera</strong></li>
<li><strong>&#8220;real&#8221; web browse</strong>r</li>
<li>Verizon&#8217;s <strong>Visual Voicemail</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Rumor is, according to the <a href="http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/09/13/a-storm-is-coming-on-sept-15th-presumably-blackberry/" target="_blank">Boy Genius Report</a>, that this will come in the <strong>first 2 weeks of November</strong> and will also be <strong>a Verizon exclusive</strong> (sorry Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&amp;T users <img src='http://teentechblog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' />  ).</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/007749.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-892" title="blackberry-storm" src="http://tech4teens.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/blackberry-storm.jpg" alt="" width="196" height="280" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>The Blackberry Storm</strong>. <em>Pic from <a href="http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/007749.html" target="_blank">PC World.com</a></em></p>
<p><strong>Samsung Omnia</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>Rumored </em></span>to be coming to <strong>AT&amp;T</strong> on <strong>October 7 </strong>(yes <strong>less than a month away</strong>), under a new name &#8212; Mirage (don&#8217;t ask us why the change in name happened; we&#8217;re as lost as you are <img src='http://teentechblog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  ). A recap on the incredible features for this new phone:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>3G</strong></li>
<li><strong>GPS</strong></li>
<li><strong>all touchscreen</strong></li>
<li><strong>3.2 inch screen</strong>- look out iPhone</li>
<li><strong>Windows Mobile 6.1</strong></li>
<li><strong>AT&amp;T Mobile TV</strong> (lets you watch some of AT&amp;T&#8217;s live TV service &#8212; ESPN, MTV, CNN, NBC etc. &#8212; right on your phone)</li>
<li><strong>5 megapixel camera with face detection</strong></li>
<li><strong>8 GB or 16 GB of memory </strong>(ala iPhone).</li>
</ul>
<p>Just a note: These are only rumored features. Built-in 8 or 16 GB of memory and 5 megapixel camera are based on the specs from the European Omnia, and may very well disappear along with other features from the final AT&amp;T Mirage version.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img class="size-full wp-image-267 aligncenter" title="samsung-omnia" src="http://tech4teens.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/samsung-omnia.jpg" alt="" width="212" height="337" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Samsung Omnia/ Mirage</strong></p>
<p><strong>Blackberry Pearl Flip</strong></p>
<p>Fan of the Blackberry Pearl, but wish it was in a<strong> </strong>flip phone version?<strong> </strong>T-Mobile has you covered. They will soon be launching the <strong>first-ever flip Blackberry</strong>- the Blackberry Pearl Flip. This phone has standard flip phone features like an outside color screen, but adds some nice other features like:</p>
<ul>
<li> <strong>Updated Interface</strong></li>
<li>Blackberry Pearl&#8217;s <strong>&#8220;SureType&#8221; keyboard with Trackball</strong></li>
<li><strong>Wi-Fi</strong></li>
<li>T-Mobile Fave 5&#8242;s</li>
<li>2 megapixel camera with flash</li>
<li><strong>&#8220;real&#8221; web browser</strong>!</li>
</ul>
<p>Expect this to drop soon for what is <strong>rumored to cost</strong> <strong>$49.99</strong> (this is a rumor, though we hope it sticks &#8212; <strong>$50 for this type of phone would be AWESOME!!!</strong>). In the meantime, check out the &#8220;Coming Soon&#8221; pages at <a href="http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?tp=tb1&amp;cell-phone=T-Mobile-BlackBerry-from-T-Mobile-Pearl-Flip-8220" target="_blank">T-Mobile</a> and <a href="http://www.blackberry.com/select/blackberrypearlflip/" target="_blank">Blackberry.com</a> with even more info and pics of the phone.</p>

<p><strong>HTC Dream</strong></p>
<p>The least information is known about this one, though we know its <span style="text-decoration:underline;">officially</span> from T-Mobile and Google! Yup. <strong>Next Tuesday </strong>the 23rd, Google and T-Mobile will be <strong>holding an event for the Dream</strong>, and reveal everything. We do know it&#8217;s got:</p>
<ul>
<li> <strong>New Google Android OS</strong> (rumored to <strong>rival the iPhone</strong>)</li>
<li><strong>T-Mobile 3G</strong> (where available of course; T-Mobile just started rolling this out)</li>
<li><strong>Touchscreen with Sidekick-like build</strong></li>
<li><strong></strong> <strong>Wi-Fi. </strong></li>
</ul>
<p>We will know more next Tuesday and will of course keep you updated<strong>. </strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/09/16/google-android-might-just-be-around-the-corner/"><img class="size-full wp-image-890 aligncenter" title="tmobile-android-event" src="http://tech4teens.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/tmobile-android-event.jpg" alt="" width="337" height="209" /></a></p>
