Hey Jack,

If you buy an iPhone from a third party, you can technically "jailbreak" it and use it on another carrier like T-Mobile or even AT&T (not Sprint or Verizon as they don't use SIM cards) without having to buy a data plan. You can use the Overdrive for WiFi on the iPhone, but you won't be able to make calls using the Overdrive unless you use an app like Skype.

Also remember, by "jailbreaking" your iPhone you are voiding your warranty, and if something goes wrong, there is no guarantee Apple will help you fix it.

Good luck,

Eli

I'm 14 and I got one too. It is kinda lame that you can't read in the dark but thats what keeps the screen so crisp and matte, it's lack of backlighting along with the e-ink. I can't get my i-tunes music onto it either but thats because I found out the nook does not support the itunes mp4. format for audio- only mp3 and AAC.

I have a g1 and I have to pay for a data plan to use the internet. Although it does have wifi which than you can just use it instead of a data plan but you have to always be near somewhere that has free wifi to use the internet.

I'm 12 and I just bought a Nook...it's really amazing and reads really well. It's only downfalls are that you can't read in the dark (kinda lame if you ask me) and that I can't seem to download my I-Tunes music onto it. That's where all my music is,so oh well I guess that's why I have my Iphone. Also there seems to be almost none of the books that girls my age buy on the Store, but oh well I read Classics anyway.vvAll in all, great purchase and it just keeps geting better.

I really don't understand their point. But I guess it gives them one more product to market. I was hoping for some improvements on the hardware, but from the looks of it, there isn't.

I personally have gone with the HTC Hero, and something else to think about before choosing a phone is to consider what cell phone service has good reception in your area. It would be terrible to get your brand new phone for all of its benefits and then realize it doesn't even work. Ask friends, forums and check regional awards and stuff. Another item to look into is to see how much of a rebate you can get on a plan with a phone.
