New Touchscreen Phones coming to T-Mobile? August 17, 2008

As Sprint, Verizon and AT&T continue to grew their touchscreen phone offerings, T-Mobile looks to jump in and make a BIG splash. What we talking about? Hit the More link to find out.
These are two rumors, but if they pan out they will be pretty HUGE.
1. Samsung T919
- All touchscreen
- 5 (yes 5) megapixel camera
- T-Mobile 3G- about time, T-Mobile 3G is rumored to come to large cities across the country on October 1.
- Video Ringtone support- Not sure what this is, but definitely sounds cool.
- Micro SD card slot with up to 16 GB support
- Ability to stream video- I assume this is a T-Mobile video service that is like AT&T Cellular Video, V-Cast Video for Verizon, and Sprint’s video service.
- GPS WITH speaking commands- example “Turn Right on ____ Street”
- Possible WiFi and Front Camera for Video Calling- Hope its the real 2 way video calling and not 1 way like AT&T’s, its about time the US gets this feature.
- Aluminum Back
Not sure on price or when this will come out (it is still a rumor after all), but you gotta hand it to T-Mobile if this is true- this is a SICK phone.

2. HTC Dream
- First phone in the US to run Google’s Android mobile OS- A OS similar to Apple’s iPhone, but will be available on more phones (touchscreen and not touchscreen), and have features like a real Web Browser, App Store, YouTube, Google Maps- with Google’s Street View, Mp3 and Video player and much more.
- Sidekick like design WITH a Touchscreen- Screen slides up to reveal a full computer like keyboard (similar to Sidekick series).
- T-Mobile 3G
- 5×3 inch Touchscreen with Haptic Feedback- basically a BIG screen with little vibrations let off when you touch something on it.

Like the Samsung T919, not much else like price, release date- rumors are it will be Fall of this year- or even full specs are out yet, but this also looks to be another solid phone for T-Mobile.
There you have it, some new phones to look forward to coming from T-Mobile (hopefully). We’ll keep you updated on these phones as more info comes out, but which of the two would you take- or would you rather have an iPhone 3G, LG Dare or Samsung Instinct. Let us know in the comments.

Can’t wait for it to come out
I am contemplating really hard about leaving t-mobile because im tired of the sidekick and want a touch screen phone. Not to mention the service problems. If these phones really exist they need to let their customers know before they loose them all!

Am sooo glad that T-Mobil is finally coming out with a touch phone. I used to like the blabkberry pearl…but then i saw everyone w/ it, and it kinda went downhill for me since…soooo I’ve waited this long for T-Mobil to come out with a touch screen and they finally did. I Love T-Mobil, their services are great. Can’t wait for this phone to come out. YOu guys Rock!!!!

I can’t wait til november 3rd when this phone comes out don’t know if it will be in stores but I heard they are giving it out for tmobile customers only and its alow price if you’ve been a tmobile customer for years. I’m getting this phone you can’t beat 5 megapixels compared to other phones
I CALLED TO CANCEL MY PLAN AND GO WITH AT&T AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE FULL TOUCH SCREEN WILLBE OUT NOV 11TH AND THEY AREN’T ADVERTISING THIS BECAUSE OF THE GOOGLE PHONE THAT RECENTLY CAME OUT… I DECIDED TO NOT CANCEL AND WAIT FOR THE SAMSUNG T919 ISNTEAD… CAN’T WAIT!!!

I was going to purchase a sidekick 08 because I’m stuck with the ID and I’m really tired of it specially after I had the Lx and it broke (anger issues lol) so I’m really exited to see how they come up with a touch sreen Sidekick … I kno I won’t break that one lol

I have the sidekick 08 and I was going to get the new one that’s coming out that’s similar to the lx but instaed im gonna wait till the touch screen sidekick better I can’t wait

.I have the g1 and tmobile is great..but one thing I don’t like is that they don’t have 3g all over if they had that they would be the on top of everybody..
I have the g1 google and the service is poor I hope the touch screen side kick is better.
