iPhone 3G – Quick Hands On Review July 15, 2008

I am writing this on location with an actual iPhone 3G, and I must say, it is a pretty nice device. Looks and feels similar to the original but a bit lighter in weight. The 2.0 software interface is nicer than any of the previous ones, and applications are impressive especially in the graphics they have- which are above and beyond anything ever seen on a cellphone. The new black case is a fingerprint magnet, so be careful when you use it, and maybe even go out and get a case for it. Overall, I think this is a very worthy successor to the original iPhone based on my quick first look at it.
Ok, that was a little first take. Stay tuned as Aidan should soon have a review up on his on own iPhone 3G once he gets it in the coming days. In the meantime, how have your experiences been with the iPhone 3G and/or the 2.0 software on the iPhone 1 or iPod Touch (that is of course assuming you were able to get it from iTunes and onto your iPhone or iPod Touch). Also any apps you guys would reccomend for other users from the App Store? Let us know in the comments.

I really think that the OS is slower and not near as good as the first one. Other than that, it was kinda meh, I mean, we all loved the groundbreaking, revolutionary original iphone last year, but this one was just playing catch up with all the other 3G smartphones out there. Not as good as I thought it would be.
