Sonic Unleashed: A blur of hope? July 4, 2008

Remember waking up bright and early every Saturday morning and rushing to your Sega Mega Drive, hearing that awfully high pitched and accented “SEGA” and within moments you were racing through Green Hill Zone? I loved the release experienced through playing Sonic the Hedgehog after a week of my mum, (or as American’s so delicately pronounce it, MOM) banning video games for more important things like third grade math. Over the years, something happened, and Sonic, well, I’ll put it straight, he lost momentum. As the console wars developed, Sonic and co. got lost among the rubble, in games such as Sonic and the Secret Rings. However, there is hope! Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360/Playstation 3 is in the works, and much to the rejoice of fans, it appears to be returning to it’s fast paced routes! A simple game, with simple desires. Indulge in this preview clip of Sonic Unleashed, and pray with me for something magical to happen.

Keeping my fingers crossed for this one. The camera looks like it will not get in the way, so it has a good chance at being better than recent efforts.
