Flattering?

Motorola has taken the plunge that all mobile phone producers seem to have taken in the past year–touchscreens– since the pioneering of Apple’s iPhone, and will soon be introducing the Blaze for Verizon Wireless. The Boy Genius Report has gotten a hold of a few shots of this somewhat peculiar phone, as well as some info on features. Hit the more link for some of the details.

Features include:

  • Verizon’s 3G
  • GPS
  • Music and Video Player
  • Touchscreen (another phone this summer jumping in on this craze)
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • V-Cast Mobile TV
  • Visual Voicemail– the process of adding a visual aspect to phone voicemail and allowing users to listen to their messages in the order of their choice, a major feature already available, and initiated by the original iPhone

Personally, I wouldn’t predict this to be a strong contender in the future, with design being far below standard, which surprises me as Motorola are the the self-proclaimed fashion guru’s who manifested the brilliant RAZR. Seriously, that red ring (see above pic) is scaring the life out of me, and reminds me of something unrelated. However, keep your eyes peeled for more info in the future.

Btw- how does this plan into your summer cell phone plans- you going to go with LG Dare or Vu, Apple iPhone 3G, this phone, Instinct from Samsung, or the T-Mobile Rokr E8? We know we asked this toooo many times but its every release means a new ballgame so we’d love to hear your opinions in the comments.
