Motorola has taken the plunge that all mobile phone producers seem to have taken in the past year–touchscreens– since the pioneering of Apple’s iPhone, and will soon be introducing the Blaze for Verizon Wireless. The Boy Genius Report has gotten a hold of a few shots of this somewhat peculiar phone, as well as some info on features. Hit the more link for some of the details. (more…)
How to get a Cheap iPhone June 29, 2008

With the new iPhone right round the corner, lets explore a couple easy ways to get one of the premier cellphones on the market cheap:
1. Buy the 3G iPhone – well, this ones easy. It’s $200 bucks, which sure isn’t a bad price for a phone that was $600 a short year ago.
2. Sell the old iPhone, and buy a new one with the profits – combined with the above tip, this works pretty well. Added money if the iPhone is unlocked, (which we don’t support, but it is an option)
3. Buy an old iPhone – this is easy too, especially if you don’t intend on using AT&T, as the 3G won’t work on the new one even if it is unlocked, and will most likely be real cheap in a market of $200 new iPhones. Furthermore, if you don’t need the 3G or GPS, you can still get the free 2.0 update that gets you all the new features anyway.

Want to be the next TeenTechBlog? Dont count on it lol, but for those among us who share our desire to express ourselves to the broader world despite not yet even at drinking age, we would like to inform you about about an incredible institution, TeenInk.
Founded in 1989, TeenInk publishes submitted work written by teenagers (at no charge for submission) in their national monthly magazine, their website, and if you’re good enough, their books of collected works. Sorry– they dont pay you for your work.
But if it offers any consolation, we don’t make a penny off this blog either. Check it out! And if you do write something, or have written for them in the past, let us know in the comments.

Motorola Rokr E8
Wow, this summer is really the season for new, innovative, and often touchscreen, cell phones– iPhone 3G, LG Vu and Dare, Samsung Instinct… the list can go on (and can be read about here). However, one particular carrier is noticeably absent from that prestigious list: T-Mobile. Not to fear, though, the Motorola Rokr E8 is here– well on July 7 it will be, according to Cnet’s blog Crave– and its generating a lot of excitement; it already won top awards at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, including the People’s Voice award and best upcoming cell phone product (discussed by us earlier). But this phone is very different from the previous models we’ve discussed in the past for this summer…ITS NOT A TOUCHSCREEN! Yes, you heard me. Rather, this phone attempts to become the ultimate Music player Cell phone, or what we call the Mp3 phone for the sake of conciseness. Ever. Hit the more link for details!!

LG Dare
Now that AT&T might be getting another all-touchscreen phone, we thought it would be nice to mention some more info on Verizon’s latest touchscreen phone, the LG Dare. There’s a lot on it, but I think its worth a look. Click the More link if you’re convinced.
