Normally we don’t usually do news-type posts, but since it’s Macworld, this is an exception. Basically, a couple new things were announced. What seems to be the most important is the iTunes movie rentals, which added almost every major movie company to iTunes, and allows you to rent movies, instead of just buying them straight out, obviously for less money. Of course, the biggest announcement was the Macbook Air, a new laptop from Apple, in the ultra-portable class – meaning that is is very thin, and very light, and very easy to carry around, and I’ll be doing a compare/contrast of all 3 Macbooks soon in the future. Also announced was software updates for the iPod Touch, and the iPhone. The iPod Touch has several new applications that can be purchased from iTunes, and come free with all new ones.
